In May 2015, Soldiers-6's CEO, Ed, received a service dog named Rex from Rebuilding Warriors, which transformed his and his family's lives amid his retirement from the police force. Due to PTSD, depression, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain from Army deployment. Rex provided crucial support during Ed's darkest moments battling intrusive war memories, saving him from thoughts of self-harm. Grateful for Rex's impact, Ed's family organized a fundraiser in 2015 to help Rebuilding Warriors offer similar support to other military families.
The success of the fundraiser inspired the creation of Soldiers 6, which has since continued to provide service dogs to those in need.
Since awarding their first dog, Six, in May 2016, Soldiers-6 has been dedicated to offering life-saving training to those who could benefit from a service dog. If you know someone who could benefit from this support, please reach out to Soldiers-6 at - www.soldiers6.com/contact.
